Challenges of Managing Pain Symposium (ChaMPS)/Pain Grand Rounds
CME and CE Credits Available Reminder to All Attendees: You must sign in and provide your contact information at the registration desk for each of the quarterly sessions you attend on the evening of each of those sessions in order to receive CME or CE credit for each individual session. (Psychologists must also sign out each time per California Board of Psychology CE standards.) Your printed name, mailing address, and signature must also be legible to receive CME or CE credit. We appreciate your cooperation. Letters indicating the amount and type(s) of CME/CE credit earned will automatically be sent each July at the close of the academic year to each ChaMPS participant who has signed in and provided his/her contact information. Physicians: The University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. UCSF School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. The approved CME credits also partially fulfill the 12 credit CME requirement of CA AB487: Pain Management and the Appropriate Care and Treatment of the Terminally Ill. Nurses: The American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME. Information on Continuing Education requirements for California nurses is available from the California Board of Registered Nursing. Physician Assistants: AAPA accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME. Continuing Education requirements for physician assistants is available from the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Pharmacists: The California Board of Pharmacy accepts as continuing professional education those courses that meet the standard of relevance to pharmacy practice and have been approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Information on Continuing Education requirements is available here. Psychologists: CME is accepted by the California Board of Psychology for psychologists. Psychologists are responsible for reporting their own attendance at CME activities to the California Psychological Association Accrediting Agency. The MCEP Credit Reporting Form for this purpose is available online and at the registration desk for each ChaMPS session. Marriage and Family Therapists (MFTs), Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs): This course meets the requirements on an hour-for-hour basis of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (Approval #PCE1272).
