1987 - 1997
- Medically-oriented, senior day health center opens, developed by Lawrence Z. Feigenbaum, M.D., Director of Ambulatory Services, 1975
- Mount Zion receives nationwide requests for animated life-saving CPR card, developed by Herman Uhley, M.D., and Louise Horne, medical artist, November 1977
- Kaiser Family Foundation awards Mount Zion a grant for a geriatric fellowship program, the first of its kind on the West coast to give special training to physicians interested in geriatric medicine, 1978
- Mount Zion acquires and develops Maimonedes (Unity) Hospital; now called the Pavilion, houses all of OB/GYN, perinatal center, and all of psychiatry
- New Perinatal Center opens in the Pavilion, offers complete obstetrical and pediatric services to mothers and infants, January 1980
- First floor of the Harold Brunn Institute converted to a new cell biology research laboratory, directed by Ira Goldfine, M.D., fall 1979
- HealthWorks for Women, the first hospital-based comprehensive women's health center in San Francisco, opens at Mount Zion, 1986
